People ^G steal they ^C cheat and ^G lie For wealth and what it will buy But don't they ^C know on the judgment ^G day That Gold and ^D Silver will melt a ^G way. I'd rather be in a deep dark grave And to know that my poor soul was saved Than to live in this world in a house of Gold And deny my God and doom my soul. What good is Gold and Silver too If your heart's not pure and true Sinner hear me when I say Fall down on your knees and pray. My Jesus died on Calvary , he paid the cost that was charged to me But if silver and gold I never own Thank God one day I'll have a golden home
