All Of Us - I'm Sorry All Of Us - I'm Sorry |
| I’ve always had my problems with farewells and funerals.
I used to avoid them. I rather hide - be unreachable and mourn for myself.
I’m sorry I missed the last big event organized in your name,
the last ceremony and the last chance to say goodbye.
You know, I didn’t show up since I probably couldn’t have resisted the flood of memories,
the storm of unbelievable sadness that would have come over me,
standing in front of you not getting any answer to my questions.
Well, I hope they gave you a noble - a worthy farewell. You deserve it.
Do you know the place I’m at right now? We have been here before, many times.
Well, I guess you can see me anyways from the stairs you’re standing on.
Now I’m here all alone. I didn’t dare to bring anyone with me, since this place is ours
- only yours and mine. The trees still carry our names, the wind still whispers anecdotes,
even the rocks seem to remember our adventures.
They all watched when we met physically or mentally, but the rocks won’t talk, they’re deaf, so are you.
