Then...
B. Repeat 2X
e-----11-------11---------------------------------------
b-----11-------11---------------------------------------
g-----12-------10-------9-------9----10----9h10p9--
d-----10-------10-------10-----10---10----10--------
a----------------------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------------------------
Verse--Essentially you just alternate between G minor and C. Use
the top three strings. Play around a bit. There isn't much going on
with the guitar at this point. Try this. You can hear where it comes
on the recording("Smell the rose, smell the sweet...)
e-----3-----3-----3-----3-----
b-----3-----3-----3-----3h5--
g-----3-----3-----3-----3h5--
Also, right when Crispian starts singing...
e--------------------------------
b-------------------------3-----
g-------------------------3-----
d--------------------------------
a------------------3-------------
E-----3-----1-------------------
After the line, "that grows from castle walls in heaven", back to intro
part 2. Play A once and then B once then into the pre-chorus...
Pre-Chorus Gm-->F-->C-->F high up on the fretboard. Here's how I play
it...
e-----10-------------------------------
b-----11-----10-----8-------10------
g-----12-----10-----9-------10------
d-----12-----10-----10------10------
a-----10------8---------------8-------
E---------------------8----------------
"Catch the sun..." Simply Eb7 then F7
e-----6-----8-----
b-----8-----10---
g-----6-----8-----
d-----8-----10---
a-----6-----8-----
E------------------
Chorus C--Dm7--Eb--Bb--F--Bb--F. The switch from the Eb to the Bb is
rather quick. The bass plays something different, but the Dm7 is
definitely in there, so don't let it throw you.
e--------------------------------------------------------
b------------6-----8-----6-----10------6------10-----
g-----5----- 5-----8-----7-----10------7------10-----
d-----5------7-----8-----8-----10------8------10-----
a-----3------5-----6-------------8--------------8------
E-------------------------6--------------6--------------
Bridge Ab--Bb. Then C--Bb--A--Ab. Repeat the 4 chords again. I'm not
gonna tab out the chords(except for the Ab) cause I've already have
written out all of them at some point in this tab. I would recommend
playing them lower on the fret board though. It gives it a better sound
and gives you a little varitaion. Don't play them open though, except
for the A.
Ab

d-----6---
