Taliesyn - To the One Taliesyn - To the One |
| I must have seen you somewhere out
when days were long and minutes tout.
I thought of what to do
whether to give my love to you
or to stay alone and true to the nature.
But I was proud and strong inside
I didn’t seek a place to hide,
but then you were coming here
I felt you far and near
and I thought the sudden fear was a warning.
(I turned aside and ran away
and watched the oak-trees deep in play
and heard their silent song
and it felt like mother tongue
and they told me what was wrong as they called me.)
Said I to a fly resting on my hand
„God, I could smash you with a grain of sand„
And the echo went right trough
but the voice and words were new
and it said „Id smash you too like a soft breeze.„
But now I’m humble, small and weak
and it’s hard to find anything to seek
and all my work is done,
I’m sitting in the sun
singing to the one I don’t believe in.
