Výhodou tohoto precizního živáku, který byl pořízen během koncertů v New Yorku v roce 2006, je jednak to, že vydrží na hodně dlouho (suma sumárum čtyřiadvacet tracků na dvou CD) a jednak to, že obsahuje řadu bonusů v podobě zajímavých hostů.
Např. v Live With Me se s Jaggerem překřikuje hlasově bohatě vybavená a o dvě generace mladší hvězda Christina Aguilera a ve skladbě Loving Cup hostuje Jack White. Sladký bonbónek pro bluesové nadšence představuje vášnivá verze Champagne and Reefer, kde se Mick Jagger střídá s Buddy Guyem a v závěru ho uctí nezbytným "Yeah, Buddy Motherfucker Guy".

Nechci tu spekulovat o tom, kolik chyb nebo nedokonalostí bylo na nahrávce následně překryto ve studiu, ani polemizovat s pamětníky o tom, jestli byly v 60. letech jejich koncerty lepší, neboť jsem v 60. letech nežil. Nicméně i jako osoba, která se se Stones generačně zcela míjí, mohu zodpovědně prohlásit, že živák Shine a Light šlape a baví.
